Section 1 - flood
The flow of the animation needed some work to make the motion more fluid. The items on the shot list made it unfeasible to go back and do more in-betweens because this would be far too time consuming considering many more 2D animations needed to be done. I added motion blur effects to the in-betweens and the animations appear smoother.
Section 2 - drought
lighting and colour alterations added more texture to the animation with motion blur applied to the plant blowing away. This was successful in making the animation appear smoother and interactions with the dancer work well with her arm beckoning thew sun overhead and making the plant grow.
Section 3 - forest fires
Backgrounds need to be more accurately applied to this section with other elements in the foreground. James has been working on keying out the dancer's precise movements. When this is done we can composite the foreground, middle ground etc. how we wish. I need to collect a video of flying embers to interact with what's happening onscreen with lighting changes and to apply more dimensions
Section 4 - conveyor belt
Drawing and arranging these cogs taught me a lot about After Effects. Particularly about saving my work. With the dancer's foot changing the speed of the cog's spinning, I am thinking about ways the dancer's movement can interact with the animations because it ties the animation into what's really happening. This has been achieved through talking with Sarah, who has greatly helped with key framing and generating ideas.
Moving forward, we are going to have to start pulling our animations together. I have transferred my After Effects file to the Drive to apply more accurate transitions and begin blending each team members contributions.
